    PII Brake caliper Allen wrench size

    2016 Pantera II
    Got a busted brake pad and need to remove the caliper.
    So far the standard and metric Allen wrenches I have are either too large or small.

    Anyone know the size? Seems to be 7mm?

    I generally take the whole bracket loose(bolts on the backside of the rotor) they are tight!. I used blue loctite when putting these 2 bolts back on

    I got it. It’s a 7mm Allen socket.
    Loosen them and slide them out. Caliper comes off very easy.
    Both pads fell out.

    That is an odd size, have one in a set that has never been used, sure it is not an 8 which is very common

    Yep. I fully agree. Had to go buy a craftsman set. Never used a 7mm in my life. Worked perfect. Change the brakes much quicker then taking the main bolts out.

    7mm is common now on calipers--added it to our sets because of brake calipers 11mm also coming on strong
