    coast guard capacity pt185

I’m hoping someone can help here. I can’t find my capacity plate on my boat. 2005 pt185.

guessing it got carpeted over at some point.

    thanks in advance

HP capacity is done by calculating length x width in feet x 2 - 90 rounded up to the nearest multiple of 5.

I’m hoping someone with the same model boat can tell me what the plate says about how many people can be on the boat. That’s my main concern.

    thanks

4 people and around 600 lbs, you can't really fit more than 3 though.

I have a 2002 PT-185. Bought it new. The Coast Guard plate is located on the side panel just ahead of the throttle control. It reads: MAXIMUM CAPACITIES 5 persons or 685 pounds. 1235 pounds persons, motor and gear. 90 HP motor. Hope this helps.

    My 2005 185 says 5 also, motor weight max 390 lbs/rated for 115 hp, 5 persons or 685 lbs, 1235 motor-persons-gear. Mine is a 2005 Pro-v with 90 hp
