    Hashbrown Casserole: Cracker Barrel copy

I've tried a bunch and this is the one I like most. One is in the oven now

    1 26oz bag frozen hashbrowns
    2 cups shredded Colby cheese
    1/4 cup minced onion
    1 cup milk
    1/2 cup beef broth
    2 Tbls melted butter
    1 tsp salt
    1/4tsp pepper
    dash garlic powder

    Pre heat oven to 425
Combine hashbrowns, cheese, and onion in large bowl. I put hashbrowns in fridge the night before
I seperate bowl combine milk, broth, half of butter salt pepper and garlic powder and mix. Pour mixture over hashbrowns and stir well.
Pour remaining butter in a large oven proof skillet. Add hashbrown mixture and heat on medium high heat until cheese is melted. Then place skillet in oven cook 50 to 60 minutes. I move mine from the skillet into a baking dish or aluminum pan then put in the oven. Easier to keep in fridge than skillet in case of leftovers. I also add a little shredded cheddar cheese to the top as I'm putting it in oven
