Can you lock on the st Lawrence?

Think the mlf guys launched out of massena and locked towards the mouth. Did they lock or just launch out of various sites ? And is Canada open at all ?

They all launched out of Massena. As they had marshals, they did not have to come back to Messina at the end of the championship round.
And no Canada is still not opened.

"Can you lock on the st Lawrence?"
Did you mean to say 'Can you launch on the St Lawrence?'

    Canada is not open.

The Iroquois dam is typically has its gates open for boat traffic and you don’t have to lock there that’s upstream of waddington. They can’t go downstream of Massena into the Akwasane reservation waters. There’s no locking required from Lake Ontario to Massena.

Oh so the Iroquois lock is only pretty much just for barges ? I thought all small craft would have to go through the lock. So you can drive through the actual dam ?

One thing to note after doing it myself. If your not tourney fishing and just going for fun, load it on the trailer and drive to your next spot. Last thing you want to do is run to Clayton from Waddington and it start blowing 20 mph.

Nailed it. Barges have to lock through at the Iroquois dam, but small boats can drive right through the gates.
