    Excited

Hey All! Glad to be here finally!

Recently bought a 2022 Pro Guide V-16 WT. It hasn't been built yet, but it is supposed to be delivered in about 5 weeks. I upgraded to the 75HP motor and added the bimini top. I've looked at versatrack accessories, but wow they are expensive. So, I ordered some L3xL3x5 lengths of Aluminum Angle for about $8 and plan to de-burr, drill and paint them myself.

This will be my first boat, though I did a lot of boating when I was young up to when I was about 20 years old with family and friends.

Any advice, or suggestions on accessories that are a must? I am in Oklahoma and plan on doing Bass, Muskey, Trout and Crappie fishing - maybe some others down the road.

Yes. The Pro Guide WT series boats are very heavy and if you are wanting speed and or holeshot, you may not be very satisfied with the motor eventually. Especially once your throw family or friends or both into the mix. Little tip a birdie told me (this is just FYI for down the road: The Mercury 75 HP is a detuned 115HP with slightly different heads.

Congrats on your order. I know you must be very very excited!

Congrats! There is at least one thread floating around here somewhere on what hardware you need for the track. Post some pics when it arrives!

Sweet boat and what an awesome looking boat guard (I love dogs!!)
I am sure you will have many great times.
My best friend has the VS 18 and makes me want to trade in my bassboat to get one as his is super stable on rough waters compared to mine.

Congrat's on your new rig. I have the same boat except mine is a 2018, and white in color. The 1st thing I did is replace the front seats with better high back ones with better support for my calves. 2nd thing was to replace the 3X depth finder with a Hook2 7 Split Shot with the preloaded maps on a Johnny Ray swivel mount. The trolling motor that came with the boat is OK, not great, then again not that bad. I installed the CO PILOT remote kit which is a huge improvement. Eventually will replace with a 55lb thrust unit. I'm sure by now you know what a PITA charging the front trolling battery is. I will be replacing both batteries with AGM's after the 1st of the year. The 75 Merc on mine has a 15P prop, it's good for 35mph GPS indicated, full fuel, fishing gear and two adults. To go faster a 17P prop would work. With 4 adults, full fuel it will do 33 MPH. The 75 is very fuel efficient and very easy to work on. I've had it on BIG lakes with white caps and it cuts through the water with a dry ride. ENJOY!
