#2 new depth finder to old transducer

I too have an older Ranger with a Garmin 240 unit installed. Any chance of hooking up to a 93sv? Looks like the transducer cable has 6 pins. I saw a name "Todd" from Garmin mentioned, could I get a number for him? thanks

What you propose will work, but you would need the 8-pin wire adapter block:

Then you would manually select Dual Beam via the Transducer Type menu.

With all this said, given the age of the transducer, the best way to go would be to install a new transducer when you install the 93sv.
