Optimax 115 Now Smoking after use

    2006 Optimax 115, SN: 1B498653, model #: 1115D73HY

I redid my water pump this spring, housing, impeller gaskets, etc.
Also did thermostat and poppet recently because of what I thought was an unusually high WP at idle.
WP at Idle is in the mid 5's, around 14 at wot, honestly I never run at WOT, but Ive bumped it up to there a time or two just to see WP.
Thermostat and poppet were done a few weeks ago, 4-5 trips ago.

Last time I took it out I noticed that when I came off a 4-5 minute run at around 4K RPM, when I came to an idle there was smoke coming out like my old carbureted 2-stroke outboard. I have made a habit this year of letting the engine idle for at least a minute before shutting it down after any run. One problem I wonder about is the engine temp will get up to the high 130's/140, but never quite to the 143 required to open the thermostats. SO I idle for a minute after a run to let the water pump do its thing and cool it down, but it is really just climbing from 100 degrees (temp at running) to 130's at idle, then I shut it down. Seems a bit counter intuitive.

In any case, the smoking seems to co-incide with me doing starting this procedure. I posted a vid of the smoking on my Youtube account, here is a link of a few small clips strung together.

I am admittedly nervous, ready to call a pro and get on a wait list...

FORGOT TO ADD: I let it idle out one time and the smoke went away. That was by accident, I forgot about it. And it doesn't smoke when I first fire it up.

Looks normal to me, especially if it was a cool damp morning, moisture condensing in exhaust.

Thanks for the input! I guess I hadn't considered the fact it was 60 and raining. I was just thrown off because it was not something I had seen before.

I also concur- that's essentially steam, some of which is due to how you were running, and a LOT of which is due to the atmospheric conditions of the day.
