    Upper Chowan River

    I've fished the Chowan for years but have never fished far above the Meherrin River. I was looking at Somerton Creek on the map and was thinking about checking it out. Can you run to it without any problems and is it in North Carolina? Oh yea are there any bass in it!

    Fished it years ago and had no problem. But you know how things change down there. I’ve actually rode up the Blackwater for a few miles but I had a VA license that year because of fishing Smith Mountain earlier that year

    No worries. Forgot to mention……Somerton eventually runs into Virginia…..I have never fished it that far though.
