    Question on leak

Have an older Grumman renegade that is decked out as a bass boat. Been having to use the bilge pump more and more and have noticed I’m having more water in boat as usual. Buddy told me to check the bilge hose entry but the way it’s built with all the flotation it’s not the easiest to access, so before I ripped everything out figured I’d test it out.

so I put my hose in the bilge hole outside of the boat and turned it on and immediately noticed that water was goin in the boat. Not from where the actually pump was but close to the side of where the hole is. Is this normal or is that the problem?

That fitting could be cracked or broken. Back the boat into the water but leave it on the trailer. Determine where the water is getting in.

Boat on trailer, nose in the air (high) put in drain plug. Fill with water to the point the bilge pump comes on, check the stream out of the through hull. While you're there look for leaks under the boat.
