In the '21 Z18 that battery tray is big enough for a 36v trolling motor system however, I only have a 24v system. Has anyone screwed in a battery box or another container where the 3rd battery would be for extra storage of tools, TP, etc....
I did this under the hood of my Tahoe. They use the same frame for the diesels so there was an area for a second battery.
I'm sure some people have, what are your concerns? I had tools that would fit under the bins in my boat and the floatation foam under the glass was an excellent insulator aka- stayed cool after the night, then in the sun and heat would cause sweating in my containers, so I had to find some more foam like anti fatigue mat to place under there. So maybe if you mount a ammo can place some foam between the gelcoat and box.
