Yep, mine done the same thing.....i just bought a new one and put that on on the shelf for a spare......you could tape it with electrical tape.........

Thanks I'll order one of these and replace mine.
Mine did the same, no rubbing etc...just weather and time. Bought a new one and has it replaced within 10 mins
