G3 Boat jackplate question
What would be the best hyd plate for a G3 DLX 18 CC.
-
I Have an Atlas 6in on mine that works well. You could also put a 4in micro jacker if your looking to save weight.
-
I was thinking a 6 but didn't know if it would make it squirrely in the turns or if it would make it side more.
-
It won't help sliding in turns at all. 90% chance it will make it worse.

If your worried about it sliding buy a 4 blade prop. I have a 3 blade on mine for top end and it slides some but doesn’t get crazy out of control. Or you could just slow down when taking a turn.

(you could just slow down when taking a turn)
Wise choice>

You can just trim down in the turns like your supposed to do if it slides.

In all reality, I doubt the jackplate will provide any performance improvements with this hull. I do suspect the outboard is mounted too low and suggest measuring your "Prop to Pad" and possibly raise the engine a hole or two. These hulls are more utilitarian and not performance designed.

What would be a good Prop to Pad height be?
I am looking to be able to run shallow.
