    2007 Optimax 115 Steering linkage question

    Doing routine maintenance on my 2008 Nitro 189 Sport with an Optimax 115 this morning I noticed this. It looks like the steering linkage closest to the transom is pitting. Is this common, normal, or anything to worry about. I don't see anything addressing this in the Mercury or steering manuals.
