Mille lacs this weekend

Going to be up there this weekend. Launching out of isle. Going to fish SE end if lake. Is it as simple as just hitting the rock bars and reefs to find the smallies? Or do you need to spend some windshield time scanning for isolated boulders. Any advice appreciated. Not asking for waypoints just general advise. I've fished the lake several times for muskie and understand the role wind plays and how it dictates where you can fish.

I by no means have a ton of experience there but when I have gone I usually go out of Isle. Typically I have gone up the East side of the lake and fished reefs and rock bars/points with success. I have also gone out in 30' and scanned for boulders and caught fish on those, although out deep was usually later into the summer IIRC.
