    Question High rev cut out

I've got a 1998 DT100 came with the boat I pick up this year. First thing I did was to drain the ethanol fuel out off the tank. Then changed the fuel filter and water separator. I'm burning non ethanol fuel. When I'm running at low to mid range RPMs the motor works fine but at high rev it bogs down and shuts down. I then have to prime the ball to start up again. What to do??

Check and replace all the fuel lines? They can delaminate internally restricting the fuel flow.

Will try, should I change the lines in the motor as well?

replaced fuel lines, Had 3 techs tell my fuel pump is bad. I may have a hole in diaphragm. Two of them saw the same problem with other motors.
Thanks Tim, I've got a pump on the way.

Keep us informed as to whether the fuel pump fixes your issue. Is your motor fuel injected?

Well I tried getting a pump, none to be found all on back order. Got a diaphragm kit instead. I took the pump apart and someone worked in it before. They put it back together ass backwards, I'm surprised the motor even ran.
Thanks for the input, problem solved.

Well folks after putting the pump together again, I still had the same problem. Could not find parts for it, I had 2 techs tell me the DT100 was the most "UN" undesirable motor Suzuki ever made. So I fixed it by buying a new motor.

    Thanks for all the input.
