Can you post a pic of your jackplate showing how much of the inner part is above the outer?

Why are you thinking you need raise the motor? The P2 normally likes the plates flush.

where it is at now has gave me the best control and speed, I still need seat time of course but I am curious where other folks are in adjustments.

Mine was shipped flush with a Fury 3. Going to install a Bravo 1 this afternoon. Should I raise it 1/2" or so for the Bravo?

I would try 1/4 above then try 1/2” above. The Bravo I ran on my PII liked 1/2” above the best.

bassangler88, what RPMs were you seeing at 71 mph? Just curious.

I was running a 2 stroke, I have sold my boat but on my p2 a tempest ran better than a fury. The four stokes are a completely different deal. But 71 is pretty good and the p2 will accelerate faster than any other hull out there besides maybe an Allison. Also I don’t know if this is the case with the four stroke but the opti got stronger with more hours on it, in turn ran a little faster.

i just raised mine to 3 inches, went to a 23 fury. rpms much better at a hair over 6k. 70 and change with a little more to go but I ran outa lake. At 4 inches and 24 fury which was how it came from dealer rpms were 5700 ish and the chine was awful. not quite there yet but much improved. hydraulic jack plate has been ordered and that should make easier to really dial it in. I do plan on running again with the 24 fury at the higher jack plate setting to see what happens.
