    Trailer brake pads

What's the best way to find out what pads are on my 2003 single axle stratos trailer? I notices they're pretty thin & wondered if they would be thick like vehicle pads?

If you are willing to take one of the pads out, there should be a number stamped on the metal backing plate. An auto parts store should be able to cross reference that number and find out what you need. You will want organic pads and not metallic pads.

^^^This is what I did. Took them to a big NAPA store and they crossed it over to a late 90’s Cavalier or LeMans. Nowhere ever has organic pads. I haven’t seen a problem using the metallic ones.
    Don't worry Ma'am....

If you have model and serial numbers of the trailer I would call Waymire distribution in Indianapolis. I bought brake pads for a Stratos that I had. They were very helpful.

My brake caliper had the model number stamped on the backside and that's how I figured out which pads I need!
