    Ranger 520L slow with Lithiums

Anyone have any tips to get lift and speed out of these boats with lithiums, besides moving all heavy tackle to back compartments? I am hitting 6000 rpm with the 23 loaded, can hit 6200 not loaded. Once livewells are full only getting 66mph.

If you have a jackplate it needs to be lowered. The Lithium batteries are light and your boat now sits higher in the water. I lowered mine a 1/2" and got better holeshot and topend after Lithium install.

I run an Atlas and actually have to raise to 12 to 13 on gauge to get rpm's

Check to verify you’re actually getting to 100% full throttle. And try running a 24” tempest plus at 2.5” ptp

I’m running the same prop, factory lithium’s and my boat doesn’t like the plate all the way down or up on launch. For the best hole shot on my boat, I found it best to be set on 10. Hope this helps.

That’s not a great prop for a Ranger. The Tempest is better for the way Rangers run. More trailing edge.
