Let’s see if you don’t have a deep v it’s not going to ride good no matter what and there’s only a few boats that fit that category in bass boats .1 foot chop is nothing 2 -3 foot rollers and the washing machine on big lakes is where it set another boys from the men

Vexus no contest. Better entry angle and more dead rise than the Ranger.

I have a big boat and this is my nemesis on my home lake. When the wind gives us sustained 2-3 footers and wake boats turn the lake into a washing machine with everything coming at different angles, it makes for a long and rough ride to the ramp....

I can't say cause I haven't been in either of the boats you asked about and I won't muddy the water by suggesting a boat that isn't on your list. I will say that there are factors at play besides just the hull make and model. Prop choice (4 blades usually run better in rough water than 3 blade) and just driver skill have a big influence. Today the seat technology also makes a big difference. You may be able to order the hull you like and get an upgraded suspension seat option that will make a big difference. From you two choices I think both would make fine boats that anyone would be blessed to have.

I wouldn't pick either of those two if I was looking for a rough water rig.

If you are in 3 foot waves in a bass boat it is 90 percent driver. You have to know your boat and how it performs. I have owned multiple boat brands and can’t say anyone was better than the other.

If you are in 3 foot waves in a bass boat, you didn’t plan ahead.😉

New Jaguar STS a hull, and yes we may be biased though it is that good. The other new STS hulls we have coming are good rides. The walleye guys who have run a Jaguar are asking for a multi species deck on that hull.

So true…Some offshore guys don’t even go out in true 3 footers with a close period. 3 footers with a 5 second period will sink a bass boat ANY bass boat.

Another vote for the Ranger 522D....

The Vexus VX21 is still a "bass" boat type hull. The 522D is on a Fisherman/walleye type hull with a bass boat top cap.

If I lived up north around the Great Lakes, I would definitely own a 522D
