A friend of mine just bought a 2004 201 Pro XL with an Evinrude 225. What would be some good prop choices for him to start looking at for the best top speed? He currently has a 25 pitch 4 blade PowerTech that is not in good shape on it.

26 Raker original & i'd think a 26 tempest plus too if you can find one to try.

Tried a 26 fury but couldn’t get on plane with it.. kept blowing out
I ran the 27 tempest plus on my 07 201 XL with HO 225 Etec. 74 MPH, even chop, tail wind, Tennessee River. Yes…27 Tempest works fine but hearing folks liked the Renegade 25. On the big water I would go for the speed, in Florida I would opt for the holeshot and bite. Depends on the water your on.
