Ultrex US2 any good on 93SV?

Hey guys,

So I’m adding a 126sv at the console and plan on adding Livescope at the bow and I’m ok with using a 93SV there and not break the bank but I’m wondering if I can use the 93SV with the Ultrex adapter and get the same 2D image I would with the transducer?

My Ultrex is brand new so I don’t know if their US2 built in sonar got better or it’s the same since the Ultrex came out.

Reason I ask is all the 93sv’s that were $599 that included the transducer are gone so I’m thinking if I find a used one I can just buy the Ultrex adapter to tap in along with the Livescope setup. I find myself never using down vu or side vu at the bow on my old boat with the 93SV I had on there.

If the 2D is the same using the built in US2 on the Ultrex, what adapter would I need?
The Minn Kota site says “MKR-US2-14” but in the reviews someone said they had the 93SV and that cable was the wrong one.

I have my a 93 wired to the US2 the 2d image looks good. I wish I could remember what the adapter part number was for you.

Is it possible to cut the mounts myself to have the other units fit?

so after installing a 126sv at the bow and running livescope plus the Ultrex US2 I was wondering if this is the picture you guys are getting because it’s disappointing compared to a transducer 2D:

It shouldn’t look that bad. And I won’t be much help other than have you checked the 3 amp fuse on the top of the trolling motor to make sure it’s not blown?

No I haven’t. I can definitely check it out.
also, I’m wondering if the Livescope on the barrel could be causing some interference?

Shouldn’t, way different frequencies being used between the two.
Did you get a transducer with the new 126?
If so what does that 2d look like?

the 126 at the console has a transducer and looks much better than the US2 I tapped into from the Ultrex on the 126 at the bow which is what you see.
I don’t have a pic saved but next time I’m out I can take one and show the difference.
