High def mapping by a boat actually out on the water. What is available now is based off historical mapping not real time

C-Map has changed course. It is on C-Map Reveal SE or Discover.

We are talking about two different things. The C-Map HD are from boats actually going out and mapping the lake. It they’ve only done 4 states. These guys are hoping Georgia will be the fifth and be done soon. The regular Contour + chip might be better or worse than Navionics depending on your location. But just like with Navionics, very little of it is from on the water mapping. Most is historical chart data out into an electronic format

C-Map did start their on the water mapping in AL then added TN, NC, SC and sold as individual states. They then surveyed GA and have included the Precision Contour HD lakes in the Reveal SE or Discover maps with a year of free updates. The OP was about GA and yes it is on Reveal SE or Discover map. Reveal SE includes AL, FL, GA, SC, NC, & TN.

yes, these maps are better than Navionics in the SE.

FM350V is correct, I picked up the new Reveal SE chip from Wacky Riggers and it does have the data from the scans of the GA lakes they did last year.
