    Local vendors shout out

I just wanted to give a shout out to 2 local vendors that I had a spectacular experiences with. I had a custom rod made by John at Wicked Custom Rods and a trolling motor and fish finder installed by Steve at Bass Fishing Electronics. Both are NH based small business and their prices were fair and their communication and service exceptional. I always try to buy locally and these guys make it awful easy to do repeat business with.

Both guys are exceptional people doing what they love, and the quality of their products and/or service shows. Just picked up 3 more rods from Jon at Wicked Custom Rods myself. New Drop Shot rod (7' 2" ML-F), an Okashira build (basically an ultra finesse rod for mega lightweight stuff, 7' 3" ML-MF), and another BIG boy swimbait rod (8' H-F rated 1-6oz). All built off a North Fork Composite's X-Ray blank with Fuji Titanium guides and carbon fiber reel seat. My dropshot rod is insane, weighs a total of 2.1 oz.

Steve has been an incredible resource for me too. Ran into issues with my Ultrexx on Lake Champlain on May and he tried to help me out on the fly. No go so he got me hooked up with a new Ghost 2 days later. I've bought everything for electronics on my boat directly from him, the guy is a wealth of knowledge and does better than most explaining things when I have questions. Dying to get him on our weekly show actually, but the man is in high demand.
