    2002 Mercury XR6 150 issues @>3000rpm

New user looking for other... verification possibly

    Engine-
    02 Mercury XR6 150hp
    S/N - 0T665690

    Issue-
I purchased an 03 Tracker Tundra(I realize this is multi-species not bass) early spring and have been out several times, but last time out I experienced an extreme loss of power while running WOT and misfires. After this event my idle RPM increased >=1000 but runs smoothly all the way up to 3000 then is quite sluggish until I hit 4900-5000, I have lost 300rpm and 15-17mph(GPS) on the top end.

    Troubleshooting-
    Checked fuel lines for leaks
    replaced fuel filter
Checked spark plugs and found fouled plugs in cylinders 2/5 with all others tan shaded as expected
replaced all spark plugs with factory recommended NGK BPZ8HS-10 w/.040 gap(ran boat with same result)
Performed recommended checks on ignition system based on Mercury service manual
Found high resistance(megaohms) between wht/red trigger leads when positioning throttle between idle and WO but it will return in range 1.2k-1.3k

I decided to order a new trigger, cross referenced Mercury's part number and ordered OEM, but I'm still not confident this will resolve my issue. I'm more worried that another component could have been compromised and absolutely hate throwing parts at a problem without verification.

    Thank you in advance!

Make sure you perform a Sync-n-Link procedure (including timing).
