3 in 1 for SI and Down but thru hull for 2D?

    Lowrance gurus,

Is this possible? What are the details?

What unit? Yes for Carbon and Live, no for anything else. Also will have to switch transducers manually between 3 in 1 and in-hull. Better to get a 2 in 1 but if you don't mind manually switching, it will work.

I have the HDS live that will be hooked up to the 3 in 1.

That’s the detail I need, how do you switch between the two? Ideally, I’d like to run it like I run my lss-2. Can I set it to have the side and down from 3 in 1 and the 2D from the thru hull ducer like it is now?

Many of us have a Shoot Through the Hull 2D Sonar transducer for reliable readings at high speed. Switching transducers is fast and easy and I do it all the time. Here are two videos that might have some info worth considering:

I use the 2d thru-hull on Channel 1 and an Active Imaging 3-n-1 on Channel 2. Channel 1 is primarily for depth while running and Channel 2 is for sonar, down and side imaging. Make sure you turn "Multi-source" on in the Sonar setup. In the overlay data you can choose Channel 1 2D for depth.

Can this be programmed into a quick key? Like 2D from channel 1 on one key and DI and SI from Channel 2 on another key?

Not yet. I have asked Lowrance to see if this can be done; maybe a future software update will allow this.
