Lowrance transducer cable screw lock head?

I’m talking about the plastics that’s on the head of the cable to lock it into the unit....Is this removable without breaking it?

I have a hole it the boat that it would fit through IF I could remove the plastic piece and put it back on. Would rather not cut more into the boat.

I played around with it but didn’t look like it would come off...figure I’d check to see if there is a trick to it that I missing.

Pretty sure it won't come off. You need a 1" hole. Trick is to put the transducer through first, then the Ethernet, then NMEA, then pass the power cord down from the top so the connector doesn't have to go through. I have got sonar, power, NMEA, and two Ethernet cables through a 1" hole with this technique.

I have a hole in the fiberglass that’s real close to an inch but the plastic cap won’t go all the way. Gonna wallow it out and see if I can get this cable through. Wish they would make a smaller head. 1 inch limits options from an install perspective.
