    Boats Prior to Your Z……

What did you run before your Z20/Z21.

Im pretty much set on a Skeeter, but I know the Z Nitros are an improved boat from earlier models. Pricing I’ve found on them is a little more friendly too.

Curious to hear what you all ran prior to getting your Z and your thoughts on the new Z boats.

I have a 2015 z8 with 575ish days on the water, I had to put some carpet glue on the rod ramp and change the insulation on my cooler lid other than that I have only had to repair the motors/anchors/sonars. Love my boat and will probably keep it till 15 years old. And I beat on it. I fish in whatever wind I am dealt.

I came out of an 18 foot Skeeter ZX.

Ordered a Z20 Pro in FEB, got it in APR. Extremely happy with my choice. Big reasons for me to buy were the price of this turn key rig, customer service, and performance of the boat. I have taken 2 of my boys out thus far who drank the kool aid with regards to Nitros being low quality and under performing. After just an afternoon of fishing with them …they both stated they were “overly impressed” and couldn’t believe they were brainwashed into thinking these boats outright sucked on the water. This coming from Triton and Ranger guys. They both all so said the boat looks bad ass in person, compared to net images. Fishes super comfy and even with my 225 Merc…has perfect hole shot, acceleration, and top end for me.

If you order one, my best advise would be to order custom colors, don’t settle on opting for the premium 3 or elite 4 color combos unless you really love those color options.

Had a 2000 18 foot ProCraft with a 150 optimax. loved the boat, kids got older/bigger. I got older and needed/wanted more room. Procrafts are tracker boats so my layout was very similar to nitros.I have a 2019 Z20 pro with 250 four stroke and love it for everything on it/about it.

Champion 171 then Champion 181 then Champion 198 now Z21. It’s different in many ways from the Champion boats. I would buy another Z21 though. Great boat and great value compared to all the other 21’ boats.

I came from an 18 foot Stratos 285 Pro XL. Loved that boat, but the 700 hour ETEC was showing signs of distress. Decided to go new. Looked at lots of boats, decided on our Z19 Pro. In the past I have had a Ranger 365 and a Triton Tr 20. Our Z19 is hands down the best boat I have had. So many great features, fit and finish is good, performance is great. I agree on the custom colors, I don't want to see another boat that looks like mine.

When my shoulders went away I sold my drift boat and bought a Z6. 12 years later I traded up to a Z19 for the additional stability. Learning to catch bass, miss drifting for Steelhead.

Ranger RT188 with an Evinrude 115. Loved it but my Z20 is a great boat.

I have a 2019 Z19 its not a Z20 or Z21 like the title says but I love my boat. I had a 1997 porcraft 180 bass which I loved also but this boat is even better. No regrets.

I came from a 2001 Skeeter zx225 that I loved. Went to a z19 over the past 3 years. I just picked up a 2021 z21. Love the boat and loved the z19 but was used to the room. I had no regrets switching and as you can see, stayed with Nitro for my next purchase. Love the new 4-stroke as well. It's a beast.

First "big" boat was my father's old Procraft (1980's something) 1750 with a 150 on it. Sold that and bought a new 2006 Nitro 911 CDC; traded that one in 2016 for my Z21. Been very happy with it.
