Looking for some ideas on how others are managing to keep their unhooked trailer wiring harness clean and dry when launching or parked at home.
Thanks!

I leave mine hooked when loading and unloading..
All I do when parked is hang it over the frame so it's facing down.
Never a problem that I could figure.

I do pretty much same as above. On the flat 4/5 connectors parked outside I will add a mating connector.
Looks like we are all doing the same thing.

In the past when my trailer lights were incandescent bulbs I unhooked before backing trailer into the water. With the new LED lights I do like the rest of these gentlemen and have had no issues.

Keeping it clean and dry: never use the boat in the rain and keep the trailer away from water. Otherwise just hang it over the winch support between uses.
No need to ever unplug when launching. I hang it over the winch stand with the pins pointing down when parked.

If you feel you need to do something just cut off a female plug end and plug it into that.
This, for when trailer is detached from tow vehicle.

Never un plug when launching.
But do put dielectric grease in it
My apologies for my unplanned absence, and my thanks to all for your responses.
My previous trailers had incandescent bulbs and poor connectors; fried a few sets while launching so I took to unhooking each time.
Now have a new trailer with LED lights and decently sealed connectors -- so I just might take the plunge and leave it hooked while launching.
Thanks again.
Old 60's Dilly trailer w/regular bulbs--unplug when backing into water, otherwise hot bulbs blow instantly. Hang over trailer tongue when unhooked. Newer Ranger Trail Trailer-- never unhook until parked in the garage.
