    Garmin Force transducer

On the built in transducer, what happens when you damage it by hitting a rock or stump? What do you have to replace, the entire shaft? Can you install an external transducer on a transducer shield/saver, then if it’s damaged you only have to get a new transducer.

The transducer is replaceable. Garmin also sells a kit that includes new seals and O-rings.

I did mine not tuff at all but here's a tip take the top off and take your wires pos.,neg., off up top( being careful the plastic will break) if you don't you won't have any play in the wires and it might pull on the circuit board down in motor . I also to get them back up in shaft do it 1 at a time big to small its slot easier to get them through shaft without putting pressure how old is it I scrapped mine and left side went out on si they set me a new one under warranty
