    PT20 trailer issue

    Son finally got his first boat. 2018 PT 20 with 2019 pro xs. Has the single axle aluminum trailer and doesn't seem to load right. You can't get it all the way up on the roller due to the spare tire being in the way and when fully loaded the handle is too long to crank past the boat. Tried raising the roller up but the boat hits it it won't go over it. Not sure if others have experience with this. Seems to me the boat sits too low on the bunks. If the outer Banks were moved toward the center that would likely solve the issue raising the boat up. Any ideas?

    Move the spare tire carrier and shorten the handle on the winch.

    It is bolt together aluminum trailer. I'll find out the brand this afternoon.

    The spare tire carrier is as far forward as it will go without moving it onto the tongue. Could do that and put it on the other side I guess. The handle is going to have to be shortened regardless. No way around that. The boat and engine only have 27 hours on them. The owner said the trailer was that way when he bought it new.

    They make spare tire carriers that bend forward to allow bow to pass by.
