Daiwa 3012H (pre LT) and 4000 LT reels

How many of you are using the larger sized spinning reels for bass fishing? I have been using them now for about 3 years and can't get enough of them. 2000 and 2500 size reels just seems small to me now. I really like the line lay and drag on the larger spool. I use them from finesse to dropshot to you-name-it. Anyone else share the same sentiment? Thanks and best wishes on the water.

    Current 3012/4000 size reels:

    2x 2015 Exist 3012H
    Certate LT 4000CXH
    Luvias Airity LT 4000CXH
2x Procyon LT 4000CXH (got a great deal so I just had to )

I use a pair of Tatula LT 4000's for Erie smallies. Much less line issues with a wider diameter spool. What's nice about newer reels is that you can use a larger size, and still stay under 8oz's

Yes, agreed. The wider spool is ideal. And yes, under 8-9oz. is perfect. My new Luvias Airity 4000CXH is like 7.1oz. and is basically an 18 Exist with one less bearing for a new hundred dollars less.
