What was the issue with the Gatorlocks? My V8 will be 3 years old in July and I've been using them since I did the repower. Easy on/off and it locks the Seastar.
They honestly seemed to be cut a tad short which then allowed more side to side slop.

I've got the gen1 locks and they work great. Looking at their website, I see they only have the gen2 available but I'm guessing they'd be just as great.

I selected the Mercury steering systems - Usually 3.75" steering locks with 20mm Diameter - Is that the correct one?
I honestly don't know. I don't remember there being all the size options when I bought mine. If you give them a call, I'm sure they could help you get the right one.

Make sure you get the 2nd gen. My boat came with the gen 1 and the screws pulled out. Not impressed for $100.
Big shout out to DD26 - Like an idiot I ordered the 2 stroke Motor Tote (must have been in a hurry) and called them and they shipped out the correct 4 stroke part on the honor system that I return the wrong part to them. THAT folks is customer service.
