I hunt in the area of these pools. Does anyone know anything about fishing the mid Illinois pools. I'm familiar with the towns around there, but have never fished the Mississippi in that area.

We have fished all 3 - but not for years ... back in the day when Midwest Bass held tournaments there. All 3 had good fish and plenty of choices for different styles. Pool 19 was always productive. Keokuk, Dallas City, & Ft Madison were good take off points.

I've fished pool 19 a few times in the last couple years as my brother is in Warsaw. The only luck I had was in the creeks. Primarily Chaney creek and Larry creek. Nothing to brag about but I did catch them.
Pool 19 is a great fishery. I don't get up there that often but have had some great days up there. I have not been on the other 2 pools but have heard they are good too. There was a tournament out of Dallas City the end of may that took 17+ to win with a 5.60 big fish.
I would google water levels ... the rain has stayed away .... best of luck, stay safe and keep some water under the boat.

Pool 19 is fishing pretty good right now.Been taking 14-16lbs to win.
I fished pool 19 last year and did well. I really liked that pool, easy to navigate and plenty of fish. Caught all my fish flipping black craw on wood
