One video of one fisherman using Mega Live with Helix doesn't tell me that Mega Live isn't compatible with my Solix.
You are correct. I’m hoping they get it worked out, and sure they will. My comment wasn’t based on “one video”. Stay tuned.

Man, I've been pretty hard on HB...lots just for fun. I love my little Helix and its Mega Imaging. Hey guys...this looks really GOOD! Doesn't look any better than Garmin? SO the hell what? It doesn't look worse. In fact, the return on the bait looked AMAZING and let me tell you THAT is something you are going to want to see. I think as things flush out, this is going to be a step ahead. I'm really curious about landscape mode...what the heck does that do? Lots of talk of using with Mega360 so no worries about interference. The consumers are going to flush out all the pros and cons so still lots to wait and see. Still, congrats to HB for entry into the Live imaging realm with a novel product.

I like it and gonna guess it does well. Also, if any needs to keep a good secret...tell Brian Palaniuk. Guy's been testing it and never leaked a drop.

Is mega live built in the head unit not requiring a processing unit?

Yes - no black box needed.

To soon, just fish in the clip no structure. I don’t think the clip looks that bad. But I’ve learned over the years not to have to high of expectations.

Man, the more I look at these videos, the more I like it. No haze on the screen, no ghost tree. All you see are fish. I would like to see some structure/trees in these videos though.

This year more used Helix or added some Helix only because the larger Solix units were backordered for so long.

These clips are all at extreme close range. The down imaging is 5' to each side. That is peanuts. Of course lure lure returns will show up well.

The lure looks like a 8” flutter spoon to me.

Target separation and contrast is fantastic. Theres no sun rays or stitching lines either like LS and AT have. Detail isnt amazing, but detail isnt necessarily needed. It very clearly shows fish and lures. LS and AT videos were all done in close range too. Real world beyond 30-40ft you cant see ajything in detail, just that its there. Owning LS I cant say I'd swap for this, but it looks comparable fishability wise.

Probably did like the other brands and filmed in a controlled environment. At least that’s the way it looks with the lack of structure or contours. Just a thought not a fact ,.

I assume they are licensing the tech from garmin just like navico is doing. if that's the case it will never look the same as garmin. Garmin won't allow it to. the original panoptix is still the best IMO. much better range and much larger returns that are easier to see.
