I'm a big fan of the St Croix Mojo Bass with the SCIII blanks. Great, sensitive rods and at $130-$140 I think they're a great value. Have several and have been happy with them.

    Shimano Expride

Buy em on Facebook marketplace for $200. Exprides are the best bang for the buck on the market.

I have several different rods but for a light well built rod in that range, it’s hard to beat St. Croix. I like the Mojo’s. I have the Mojo Yak, Bass and Bass Glass. Love them all. Can’t go wrong with them.

Shimano Zodias hands down other rods are not even close. I even use them over my IMX.

I traded my nephew for a brand new JM carbonlite 2.0 for an older combo I had. I got two of the new pro qualifiers in February this this for $69 each and they are a big improvement of any BPS has made in the past. Just needed a couple spare reels. The 2.0 is a prettied up PQ. The rod has good action and a good feel. The reel cast great and is smooth.

I am a G Loomis fanatic but the best deal out there is the St.Coix Victory Sereies of rods, designed ad built in the U.S. and has a 15 year warranty- $180-$200 price range. Got a 7' 3" spinning rod this year and its fantastic

Al is going to be busy today with all these Johnny Morris guys funding the empire. I'm on board with Carbonlite as well. Those rods are decent at the price point they have.

I'm looking for a dedicated cranking rod so following this as well.

Mojo Bass and the new Victory series are my preference in that price range. A little more expensive is the Avid X line which I really really like. These are all St. Croix models.

I would vote for St. Croix as well. A couple of their models in this price range are still made in the USA, in Wisconsin.

Its great to see you can still get a decent Rod that’s made in America.

I have gotten a couple Cashion rods over that last year that I have grown to like. Light and sensitive. I vote for Cashion.
