    Grand Lake

    I will be bringing the wife down in 2 weeks. We will be staying in the Grove area. Any advice. We have never been to Grand. Sights to see??? Fishing advice always welcome.

    Shangri La-Restaurant the Summit and golf course are 5 star, Pool there is a treat as well but you have to stay there or be a member. It has two other restaurants-Eddy’s and Doc’s. They are good. Their Anchor entertainment center at Shangri La is brand new and spectacular. Weekends are busy there. Two Casinos near Grove. check the grand lake report on face book for fishing and guides, Parrot Restaurant is one of our favorite in town. Have fun.

    Kayaking/Canoeing on the Elk River is something to keep in mind. Downstream of Noel Missouri or upstream. Below you can wade fish for smallies in clear waters. Check the flow. Upstream is cold clear water that runs into a lake. It is a short drive from Grove.

    Los Casitas De Martins is an excellent Mexican Restaurant with fine Margaritas. Close to the T in Grove.
