Ser: # 2B733457 250 Pro XS 4 stroke. First a little background and then a question. I'm using the X2 for my cranking battery and all accessories, lights, bilge, pumpout, powerpoles, etc. I also have 3 100 AH Ionic Lithiums for my Garmin Force. I have 2-12" Garmin graphs and a livescope which are powered by a Wal Mart deep cycle. It is either a 29 or 31 size. When I return from an outing the alternator seems to always charge the X2 sufficiently. It usually reads 13.23 or higher. My Lithiums for the troller will usually give me 3-5 outings before getting down to 30% charge level. I use the Ionic charger and have quick disconnects on all batteries. Since I don't need to charge these Ionics after every trip my question is about adding something to my setup to charge the deep cycle with the outboard.
Is there something that can be added ? If I do this and it results in satisfactory charging so I don't have to drag out the charger after each outing for just this one battery is this unreasonable or harmful to my outboard alternator to add one more battery to the task of charging ?
I think there are guys doing this but I don't want to unduly stress my outboard alternator just because I am too lazy to hook up the charger after each outing even if it is for just one battery.
