My kids always said I would sell them before my dog. They were right.

Just plain NO!
It would have to be a big price tag, I'd sell the kids or wife first probably!
Competition/work dogs can be worth quite a bit to those looking to upgrade their bloodlines. Not talking about house dogs/pets.
At first blush I would say no, However, I hunt in field trials with coonhounds. Some may not believe it but prices in the $15,000 range are common, and $50,000 isn't unheard of. Personally, the most I,ve turned down is $10,000, but if a man offered me $50,000 for my hound I'd think twice before sending him home empty handed.

I think the more important question and One needs to ask the Self: Would my dog sell me??
Growing up we were taught not to name livestock because when they were ready they would be sold. I grew up around coon hunters and selling and trading dogs was standard faire so to speak. My lab sleeps on a bed in the floor next to us. We listen to her snore every night. She isn’t for sale. However I would have no problem personally raising pups for sale.
Not a chance. Maybe for rent at short periods of time, but not selling is not an option. They're our furry kids.
Hell no!!!!! Not for any amount of money.
Not sure who would want to buy him anyway, hes broken.....

Certain dogs I’ve had I’ve sold. Some like one I have now has no price tag. I have a Chesapeake that needs a home now though. Usually don’t though and my dogs are all gun dogs.
