Folks please take a moment to read the sticky topic at top of this forum - REMINDER- This forum is PRIMARILY for 2-stroke 130hp and under!

This forum covers 2-stroke engines 130hp and smaller including the 1.5L Optimax (75, 90, 115hp).

The 2.0/2.4/2.5L forum covers all 2-stroke engines in those displacements including the 2.5L Optimax (135, 150, & 175hp).

The 3L forum covers all larger displacement 2-stroke engines including all Optimax engines over 175hp.

The 4 stroke forum covers all 4-stroke engines regardless of displacement.

Posting in the appropriate forum your engine and including your engine serial number (required in ALL Mercury forums) will help the pros respond to your questions more quickly and more efficiently.

Finally, "ProXS" is an engine model that was used in every displacement class of the Optimax AND current 4-stroke engines so does not identify your engine, Mercury does not use YEARS for engine ID and this is THE primary reason engine serial numbers are so important, and, Don (EuropeanAM) will be away for awhile (but may pop in occasionally) so please keep this in mind when posting and asking for help.
