Any order the lid struts from Vexus and install them?

If so, what brand struts are they using? Are they SS? Also, how wide do the lids open up to with the struts? One of my fear is the lid not opening wide enough, especially the bilge.


I want them for the bilge and front compartment lids on my 1880.

I added them to my 2080 compartments. Not sure what brand they are using now but you can look at the struts on your center rod locker and see what they used. There are several different brands you can choose from depending if you want SS or not. You will also need to figure out what length you need based on your preferred mounting locations. This will determine how far the lid opens. I used 40lb struts for all my compartments. Here are a couple pics that show different mounting options, either through the lid or to the lid support.

I just ordered them through the dealer and installed them. Came right from Vexus. I had one on the port side and wanted one on the starboard. Just measured it and drilled the holes.
