Anyone been to Stonewall lately? Wondering if the bite has started after spawn?

Checked in motel and hit lake about 4:00. On the 8th cast, caught a 22”. Man it was hot today! 90 deg when I launched and water temp was 82. Hope the next two days are good.

Yeah, building nest takes a toll on them. They aren’t burning up the world on Stonewall. Probably be a few more weeks before they start hitting real good. Been catching a lot in the 14-17” range. Just that one nice one so far. Today’s my last day. Hitting it now, we’ll see.

Left Wednesday morning and had clouds, fog and rain why couldn’t I have had that all week???? Best day had to leave. It was a hot, tough week. Some guys said “0” all week. I caught them everyday, but 1-2 pounders and the occasional 3 wasn’t what I wanted, but better than a skunk. Horrible heat. Still better than work though!
