    Project Stealth and more

We placed some explanation on the Owners Board and we will be slowly releasing details to dealers.

They were informed yesterday of the present status on some changes.

Puma is going away, so can't get another.
My needs are simple, a new Puma/Cougar with a spot lock TM, 2 - 9" graphs, 250 HP of some brand, no poles, for less than $70,000. I guess I am out of luck.
I paid $60,000 for my 2016 Puma equipped as above, but with a SHO and Yamaha digital gauges.

Knowing Rick whatever he is replacing the puma with will be better. I ran a pumaftd for a couple of years and liked it. Still, I suspect whatever is going will ride better and have better deck space. Plenty of late models pumas will be available to buy in the used market if someone really prefers them to whatever is being revealed soon.

The Cougar is not that much different. Why not go to a Cougar?

That's what I thought until I asked a semi local dealer for a price on an in stock 2021 Cougar. 112 Ultrex, 2-9's, no poles for $76,000. I know the 112 Ultrex is more than an 80, and this one has the twin 26 gallons tanks, but I figured those to "extras" would equal the boat having no poles. Boy was I wrong.

The Cougar FTD is not available in an SP package and is only a retail product with no accessories on a contract buy.

I doubt any boat could be more perfect than a Puma FTD. I respect Mr. Pierce immensely; however, I doubt there is anything out there that could be better than a BassCat Puma! I really love the Puma boat. I am in the market for my new boat, and I regret the Puma is no longer an option. Now I am depressed!

Just hang tight... they also do not intend to dispose of the molds. More to follow...

I’m interested in the new model and what a “soft” design entails.
    Also the new Sunbrella vinyl.

I was also now surprised the Puma was cut. The latest design features were placed on the Cougar and Eyra, but not the Puma. It made me wonder about the Puma future in its current design.

    PMantle,

The vendors share in our SP package pricing, which is why the vendor products are locked in on those SP series. The parts are bulks contracted as we are going to offer this widget, that widget and those Wadgets only on this model. This helps us make those SP series models more affordable, while retaining a good package. If you build one up from dealer sheet, then you will price your rigs much higher in price, as one off parts not in the contract. It helps them to know we are going to use x number of 7” Helix and Y Ultrex 24 volt models in 2021 for example.
