I recently purchased a boat that has the mercury vessel view module on it (verified by Mercury mechanic). I paired the device (which I can see via blue tooth) and downloaded the app to my an droid phone however, it will not connect.
Can anyone help me since I do not have any instructions or have any idea what I am doing wrong. (and I do turn the key to the "on" position when I have tried to make it connect).

Did you set up a user profile? Top left of app there are three bars, tap there then account&privacy.
