    Power Inlet Socket for Charger

Anybody use one of these so you don’t have to open the entire bilge door to access the onboard charger? I’d like to see install pics or hear any tips.

    thanks!!

Nope, I do not have a charger cable setup like this. While it would look slick, it is still a very good idea to open the bilge door where your batteries are when charging to vent the area.

I have one on my Crestliner VT17. Works great, I prop my lid open with a small piece of a 2x4. Will get a pic when I get home.

Thanks! Interested to see where you put it.

Right now I prop the bilge lid open a little so I don’t pinch the cord. It’s tricky though, because I keep the boat in the water, so it’s a bit of a dance around the propped open lid to put the cover on.

Attachment 453763 Mine had a larger outlet installed when I got the boat. It failed so I had to make a ring to take up the space between the old larger hole and the new smaller outlet. Works great and is very easy to use, just plug in the cord to the outlet.

Yep, works great. Scary drilling a 2" hole into a new boat though.
