    Fishing Lake Sara

How is the Bass and Crappie fishing at Lake Sara. Thinking about making a run over for a couple days during the week.
    Thanks

I'm not sure about Crappie, but Sara has a lot of big Bass in it and it fishes a lot different than most lakes in this part of the state in that it has a lot of good deep structure.[ATTACH=CONFIG]453616[/ATTACH

I won A Federation tournament at this same time last year on Sara with the fish in the pic. All 5 of my fish that day were caught off a hard spot in 23' water that was about the size of my boat.

Nice I guess I will have to go and check it out over there. Especially since I am more of a structural, deeper water fisherman

There is a little resort right on the water called Anthony Acres. It's a nice little place and reasonable prices but it fills up quickly. If I am not able to get in at Anthony Acres for a tournament, then I stay at the Super 8 in Effingham. It is clean and has good boat parking with electric.
