    Hybrid Stripers

The lounge conversation on hybrid Striped Bass got me thinking; what's your favorite technique for finding/catching hybrids in the summer time?

I look for hybrids deep in summer months and use spoons or slab baits. If the are up high in the water column then crankbaits or poppers. I use sonar to find a school.
It can get pretty sports at times!

+1 for jerkbaits, definitely my most productive lure for hybrids

They are a blast with a Redfin slowly retrieved like a wake bait when they are schooling!

I only fish for wipers in late summer/early fall when they are schooling and busting water. 1/4-3/8 oz Kastmaster. 3/8 oz Gayblade. Size 90 Whopper Plopper. Kastmaster and Gayblade fished on a spinning rod with 8 lb line. Takes a while to land a good one.
