    '98 TR21 w/ '98 200hp Evinrude

I've got a 98 TR 21 with a 200hp evinrude. I can't get 'er to break 55mph. I've tried a Tempest 24p which gives a wot 5400rpm. Also tried a Mark Croxton Razor 3 in 23p which gives me 5500-5600rpm wot. I've tried p2p from 4" below all the way up to 2.5" below (2.75" seems to be the happy spot). I've got a 36v trolling motor. all 4 batteries are in the back. Lures are in the middle locker just in front of the step. This is just with me in it, empty livewells, and is the same whether it's 1/2 tank of gas or almost full. Any suggestions? Someone suggested a 24-25p Raker 2.

How does your motor check out? Compression, spark, plugs? I just went through this with my 200. Changed the plugs (wrong plugs initially) and resolved a small fuel leak. Night and day difference. Make sure the motor has a clean bill of health before you spend time and money trying to prop it out.

That's a big boat for a "little" motor. And you've got her weighed down with 4 batteries.

But, Like andrew said, make sure she's healthy first.
