    New rub-rail for 2001 Ranger 520

Removed old rub-rail and old rivets and saw the old rub-rail had pre-spaced 6” gaps for all the rivets. Ranger sent me new rub-rail and it also has pre-spaced 6” apart holes for the new rivets. My question is if the new rubrail lines up with old holes can I just install new rivets into the existing holes ? I see a lot of people are just sealing old holes and using stainless screws to install the new rub-rail. Anyone know the correct size and length rivets to use ?

you should be able to order the correct size rivets from Ranger, Just make sure you don't wallow the holes when drilling out the old rivet.

I can guarantee the holes aren't gonna line up. Seal up the old holes with 4200 and use ss screws with 4200 on them so they never back out.
