Rectifier - melted wires... part number help

Well, this wasn't the beginning of my weekend that I wanted.

    Model: J150STLCOH
    Serial:
    J6131805

I am planning on replacing Rectifier (goo everywhere), stator, and wiring harness. Can anyone help identify what wiring harness I am replacing. Man - this one is going to hurt.

    coming from the rectifier...

endpoint of that wiring harness... melted wires are just below the large white main - middle right in picture.

No better time than to start right here at the EPC since you have the best visual. http://epc.brp.com/Index.aspx?lang=E...f-9c76ffdb5053
also found at the top of this forum in the sticky’s area - Important Evinrude Johnson links. Last post in that thread

Thanks! I have the rectifier, gasket, and stator and stator part numbers off of a drawing, and I have a service manual. I'm just trying to discern - before I tear into it - if the rectifier wiring harness (that comes attached to the replacement/new rectifier) extends all the way down to the solenoid assembly.

One wire will go to the solenoid. If memory serves the color is red. This would be the output wire from the rectifier delivering charge output to the battery.
