    Keelguard Re-Installation

    My keel guard came off. What is the best adhesive or tape to use to reattach?

    3m body tape that is waterproof is my guess. I know that is what is on mine I have yet to get installed. Lol

    I've looked at several of the 3m tapes but yet to find one that sounds right. Anyone have a part number suggestion?

    you may want to contact the manufacturer. I think I remember seeing they are lifetime st checked and if they come off they replace. if its a Keel Shield it is lifetime.

    My Keel Shield came off in the worse possible way, after 20 years. The tape remained stuck the the hull, and the Keel Shield separated from the tape.

    It was a real chore getting ALL of that 3M tape off the hull. lol
